A little about me and my mission for the class - 2022-2023
I graduated from Notre Dame College in 1995 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education/Special Education including a concentration in social studies, and in May of this year (2022) I received my Master of Education Leadership degree from Southern New Hampshire University. I am currently certified as a curriculum administrator as well as a classroom teacher. I have lived in New Boston for 32 years and have a husband, Rick, of 27 years, and two children, Cody and Katie. Cody is working towards his journeyman's license in the electrical field while Katie is attending the University of Southern Maine.
I substitute taught in the school district for 2 years (2005 - 2006) and was fortunate enough to serve as family liaison on the P.B.I.S. team for New Boston Central School. While participating at the workshops for P.B.I.S., I realized what a wonderful group of caring, committed teachers New Boston Central School has. I began teaching at New Boston Central School in 2007 and have been enjoying my career since I was hired. I feel very fortunate to be able to serve my community with such a devoted group of people.
My Mission for the class of 2022-2023
"When you step outside the class to go home at 2:10, may you step a little higher with each day that follows."
My personal mission is to teach you how to teach yourself. I want you to feel responsible for your learning and understand why it is important. I want you to know where you can find answers to your questions and why it is important to be self-sufficient as well as contributing members to your community. Self-empowerment and confidence in your own ability as well as recognizing the abilities of others are key concepts to me. If you can leave our classroom believing in yourself and realizing what you can do to help others, my mission is accomplished!
